Week 4 Engineering Station

There is 1 piece of PVC pipe on the table. There is also a roll of tape. Today, I'd like you to use a piece of graph paper and draw the solution to the problem below. Let me know when you are done.

Here is the problem:

How long does each piece of pvc need to be if the pipe needs to be cut into equal lengths for 30 students?

The next step will be to mark off the sections on the pipe using both a measuring tape, and painter's tape.

The next step will be to actually set up the pipe on the vice table and cut the lengths of pipe according to the diagram (plan) that you drew.
