Welcome Back!
Last week, we had a long class period on Friday, and in that class period we:
- Continued drawing the Nervous System
- Continued our discussion on Informational Text
- Got into groups and labeled your Nervous System Diagrams in your Brain Books.
- Then you did blog work and drafted your first 3 blog posts.
Today we have a shorter class period. (9:30-10:24)
Agenda
- Outside Activity
- BB011 Fishing "Name 5"
- Groups (see back board)
- 4 tasks: work on Your Blog Posts, Read others' blog posts, Quizlet "Learn" and/or "Test",
Read or Listen to "Healthy Self Podcast" Episode 33 Reading Nervous System
- Find Google Classroom "Nervous System Questions" and write 2 questions on the spreadsheet next to your name.
Standout Quotes from the blogs so far:
- We should all be thoroughly aware about how to navigate media properly and what the influences are, although very few people are.
- media literacy education is only effective when we are all on the same page
- Many times we take the media that is given to us too personally and can affect us emotionally.
- we move our desks around so we can do more things and look at different walls
- you have to look at articles from the author's point of view to make sure you aren't misinterpreting the information
- we have a central message and we relate it using pre-memorized phrases, and how if someone else has a different understanding of those phrases they might think you mean something different
